Rael Box Details/Review
Ahead of time, let it be known this blog post MIGHT make some of you feel uncomfortable. I did indeed war with myself on how I wanted to execute this to you Jeaniez, but I thought of all those girls like me who have sensitivities down below, and how this blog post might be enlightening, and helpful! Before I get into details I would like to establish the fact I AM NOT A DOCTOR, I am giving you love’s my experience, however, I’d advise you consult with your doctor first. As a disclaimer, I would also like to establish the fact Rael graciously sent me a beautiful PR package filled with pads, face masks, and feminine wash, however, Rael did not request me to do a blog post, and did not pay me! Thus, anything said here is my own opinion, accompanied by my own experiences.

One By One: LINERS
The idea with RAEL is that the ingredients are REAL. I’m not sure if you love’s are aware, but pads can contain latex, fragrance, and chlorine-bleached pulp, which are all irritants. For me, I am sensitive, and even when I was a baby I used to get HORRIBLE diaper rash’s. This followed through to me being 17, now, where I not only burn (not UTI related) but with regular pads, I get “bumps” that look like hives towards the opening of my lady bits. They hurt horribly. This is when I looked up what’s REALLY in my period pads, which you guy’s can see in this blog post here: http://www.thaeyeballqueen.com/lillees-corner/whats-really-in-my-products-bleached-period-pads/. From there I found Rael. On my first-month of switching, not only do I have NO hives, but no trace of rashes, thus why I thought it was imperative to share with you Jeaniez as uncomfortable as it might be!
Here is the ingredients list is taken directly from Rael’s website, regarding Panty Liners.
- Top Sheet: 100% certified organic cotton from Texas (OCS, USDA-certified and non-GMO)
- Absorbent Core: Chlorine-free natural wood pulp
- Backsheet: Polyethylene (PE)
- Wing paper: Coated Paper
- Adhesive: Non-toxic, biodegradable adhesive
You get the option of regular liners, and longliners, basically depending on how heavy you leak! Not only are both sets hypoallergenic, and CRUELTY-FREE, but they’re highly absorbent. I personally did not test these out yet, but my mom did, and she said they were AMAZING, and felt comfortable, which is important!
One By One: PADS
Pads are where it all began for me! Rael sent me their regular, and large pad sizes. So you love’s know in advance, I actually use the overnight, so I was glad I was able to experience the other part of their collection!
REGULAR | Light to moderate flow: Regular pads contain “Leak Blocker” panels, from left to right, with layers of protection. The pads are 3 inches wide, by 9.6 inches long! You receive 14 pads, per package at $6.90 per bag (if you go on Amazon you can get great BULK deals or a subscription with a discounted price). I tend to bleed VERY heavy on the first 2 days of my cycle, so I needed 2 pads for each changing (I change literally every time I go bathroom), however, I noticed there was no chafing, and I felt cushioned. These also were great at holding up on the heavy cycle.
Large | Moderate to heavy flow: The larger pads are a step up from the regular collection, and feature 12 pads per pack at $6.90. The pads are 3.1 inches in width, and 11 inches in length! These are designed for heavier flows, however, I did need two pads since I tend to bleed up — not because it wasn’t absorbent.
Overnight | Heavy flow: Rael did not send these, but I actually fancy them most, since I buy a 4 pack on Amazon and they’re long enough (3 inches wide by 13 inches long) to only use once per change! These are BEYOND absorbent, and very comfortable, as in no chafing. They also have no funky fragrance, and to my surprise are not bulky for such absorbent pads!
One By One: TAMPONS
I don’t typically use tampons, at all, since I’m freaked about Toxic Shock Syndrome, but Rael did send one box, (they have 4 options), of their regular cardboard applicator tampons! Basically, these are made of organic cotton, with a cardboard applicator. You get 16 in a box, for $9.99, although right now the price is $7.90! These are hypoallergenic, chemical free, chlorine-free, and cruelty-free.
One By One: WASH/WIPES
I take feminine washes seriously, since feeling clean, and smelling good are two important things to me! I also care about my PH being balanced, which often times is put off due to my hormones (I’m 17, so…hello). First off, Rael sent their Feminine Wash which retails for $12.99, but right now for $9.50! Not only is the wash hypoallergenic, but it is free of alcohol, parabens, Phenoxyethanol/artificial fragrance(s). I happened to of used this the other day, to clean myself off, since after period scent is…well..to die for, and the foamy texture worked like a CHARM! It smells citrusy, but the scent fades away and is not harsh whatsoever. Below is a copy of the ingredients list for the feminine wash.
Water, lavender oil, citrus limon peel oil, citrus lime oil, eucalyptus leaf oil, rosemary leaf oil, kirilowii fruit extract, opuntia coccinellifera fruit extract, hypochaeris radicata extract, citrus unshiu pericarp extract, brassica napus extract, juniperus mexicana oil, chamomilla recutita flower oil, pelargonium graveolens flower oil, cocamidopropyl betaine, butylene glycol, coco-betaine, ½-hexanediol, sodium chloride, sodium cocoamphoacetate, hydrogenated castor oil, lauryl glucoside, glycerin, lactic acid, sodium lauryl glucose, carboxylate, sodium cocoyl glutamate, propanediol, isopropyl alcohol, disodium EDTA, chlorhexidine digluconate, sodium lactate, potassium cocoyl glycinate
Feminine Wipes I have used before by Summers Eve, but I did have a bit of an irritation from the regular “sensitive wipes”, which was bizarre to me. Anyhow, these feminine wipes by Rael are made with 98% natural pulp, botanical ingredients, and happen to be biodegradable, as well as vegan and cruelty-free. The package is smaller than typical baby wipes, and the scent smells citrus like! At first, I was a bit weary since I smelled Lysol, but the scent turned to a citrus blend and rather a neutral clean smell. When I used the wipe I had NO irritation, but a clean feeling, and a clean conscious that my PH was balanced, and I smelled good! Below is a copy of the ingredients list for the feminine wipes.
Water, Butylene Glycol, Origanum Vulgare Leaf Extract, Salix Alba (Willow) Bark Extract. Chamaecyparis Obtusa Leaf Extract, Portulaca Oleracea Extract, Cinnamomum Cassia Bark Extract, Scutellaria Baicalensis Root Extract, Lactobacillus/Soybean Ferment Extract, Myristica Fragrans (Nutmeg) Extract, Artemisia Princeps Extract, Citrus Paradisi (Grapefruit) Fruit Extract. Caprylyl Glycol, Decyl Glucoside. Ethylhexylglycerin, Allantoin, Lactic Acid, Mentha Piperita (Peppermint) Oil, Sodium Benzoate, Sodium Citrate, Citric Acid, Disodium EDTA
One By One: Rael Beauty Lab Sheet Masks
Let it be known I think the idea of sheet masks are brilliant for a feminine care company, since many times during mensuration, breakouts occur, and us women feel a little less than! Rael sent me their full collection starting from “Hydrolock”, to “Youth Island”, to “Vita Bright”, and finally to “Fresh Froward”. Each of these addresses a main concern whether that be dark circles, dry skin, breakouts, or a need for anti-aging products! Below I explain what each mask does, as well as my experience with the following. I HAVE NOT USED THEM ALL YET, but my mom did use one so I will reference her thoughts, too! ALSO, ALL MASKS ARE FREE OF Parabens, alcohol, mineral oils, silicone, artificial fragrance, benzophenone, pigment, Phenoxyethanol, PEG, and talc.
Hydrolock: This mask is the first I tried! It is hydrating, as well as moisturizing. The mask is said to promote a dewy skinned effect, by locking in moisture. It is made of bamboo yarn, and nano-tech to fit most face shapes/sizes! Initially, when I opened up the box of 5, and slid out one pack, I really dug the blue concept with the big “H” on the front — it made me feel like I was in a spa getting the treatment. Once I opened the package, I was SURPRISED at how saturated the mask was…often times brands cheap out, Rael didn’t! I let the mask sit for 10 minutes, before removal, then allowed 5 minutes for any extra serum to dry down on my skin. I felt like my face was relaxed, glowy, and most of all hydrated (not oily by any means). The key ingredients in this mask are pineapple, grapefruit, orange, sodium hyaluronate, which as you could imagine gives it a citrus scent!
Youth Island: Youth Island is considered an anti-aging mask! It is used to firm, repair and lift, while leaving your skin glowing and youthful. It contains wheat amino acids, licorice root extract, Bergamot fruit oil, and even anise fruit extract! My mom tried this mask on, and she told me the following, “The mask feels really refreshing, and I love the orange smell. I also like how there is a lot of product you get, and not a slab of oil stuck to the mask.” Since I see Rael is a young company and doesn’t have the full ingredients list yet, view the image below to see the full list!
Fresh Forward: This mask is said to purify and soothe the skin! Formulated with tea tree oil, chamomilla extract, and Centella Asiatica extract, Jeaniez I was in HEAVEN when I put this on last night. I find this mask ESPECIALLY amazing since it helps bring down inflammation one might have due to hormones raging, and it especially works to reduce the appearance of blackheads, as well as oily skin! The funny part is this mask didn’t leave me dry but polished tight and CLEAN.
Vita Bright: This mask is made to even the skin tone by adding radiance and a refined look through the usage of Vitamin C, fig fruit, mulberry, and pomegranate. As you can tell it’s a very citrus like mask, similar to the Youth Island! This mask minimizes sun damage exposure by helping fine lines, and wrinkles, and also helps reduce uneven skin tones (dark spots/freckles), by naturally lightening (vitamin c is used often times for under eye dark circles even)! I personally have not tested this one yet, but do stay tuned for an update sometime this week!

In The End
This is how I felt with the RAEL pad on! Secure, without heaviness.
In the end, I LOVE Rael products, and what they have to offer to my health! I would like to re-establish the fact I am not a doctor, I am simply sharing with you #jeaniez HOW this product worked for me. I HIGHLY suggest you check with your doctor, although all ingredients are natural, since, for example, pregnant women are told to stay away from essential oils. I would hate for any of my followers to experience pain or irritation! Have you love’s ever heard of Rael? Let me know in the comment section below!
